welcome

Welcome. I’m Alice. I’m a writer, yoga therapist, and guide for mothers seeking steadiness, meaning, and support through the many seasons of motherhood. My work is rooted in classical yoga philosophy and lived practice, offering grounded wisdom for meeting daily life with greater clarity, compassion and joy.
Here, you’ll find reflections on yoga and motherhood, supportive yoga therapy practices, and “Conversations with Moms”—an interview series that explores how yoga can help support mothers, through honest stories and shared experiences. You can also connect with me for personalized one-to-one yoga therapy support.
My intention is to create a thoughtful, supportive space where mothers can reconnect with themselves and feel accompanied on the path.
Thank you for being here!

Reviews
"Alice is so knowledgeable, calming, and compassionate! I'm grateful I trained under her. I had a painful shoulder, but I’d leave her classes feeling both better and inspired. She teaches Yoga in a way that’s way beyond an exercise and relaxation class–it’s life changing!"

"Through her guidance, I began to understand how to be kinder and gentler with myself, gradually cultivating a sense of ease and contentment in my daily life. She also encouraged me to explore practices I’d never tried before—such as chanting and custom guided meditations—which continues to help me break out of habitual patterns and genuinely apply yogic teachings to my day to day life."

"Alice provided a safe and nurturing space where I could holistically learn to work through what my mind and body were experiencing and get back to a more relaxed and centered place."

A BIT MORE ABOUT ME
I’m a British/American yoga therapist, yoga studio owner and trainer of yoga teachers.
I’m also a “house-holder” yogi (i.e. someone who practices a yoga lifestyle while juggling family responsibilities). I have plenty of those— with a husband who travels often, 2 children, 3 step-children, 8 grandchildren, a cat called Daisy, 2 dogs (a labradoodle called Bananas and Cockerpoo called Peach - their names are the result of giving young children naming rights 🙂)! With loved ones split over 2 continents, life is busy and has its ups and downs. Yoga helps me cope, it is my refuge and my “North Star”.
When it all seems too much, yoga allows me to feel grounded and safe in body and mind. Even more impactfully, yoga has given me a different way of thinking and being in the world. It helps me see where my beliefs and choices are causing suffering, allowing me to remove stress at its root and transforming my relationships with family members.
Yoga has given me the tools to be a more centered, connected and joyful parent. It enables me to notice when I’m dysregulated and gives me tools to bring myself back into balance so that I can be more patient and kind with my family and myself.
I’m dedicated to sharing this knowledge with other mothers, through my writing and yoga therapy practice, and supporting them in finding greater balance and ease as they nurture themselves and their families.
I am also honored to co-own and co-direct YogaLife Institute of New Hampshire Teacher Training and Mill Yoga Studio with two yoga teachers who are also moms. We are privileged to learn from our students and each other as we balance teaching, motherhood, and life.
