Alice's book made me realize that the majority of parenting is truly a 'life's work.' Before I never wanted to admit that raising a family is work; think about it, we are a nanny, we are a cleaner, a driver, a mentor, a chef and so many other roles that are actual paid careers. By learning ways that Alice shares has permitted me to view parenting as a higher calling type of work and she teaches how to make parenting a spiritual practice!
