Conversations with Moms: An Interview with Andrea Barton
Welcome to our Conversations with Moms series. Today, I’m so happy to be chatting with Andrea Barton— a fellow yoga therapist, dear friend, and someone whose thoughtful, grounded presence I’ve admired since we completed our training together.
In this conversation, we’ll be exploring how yoga and yoga therapy can support mothers during the profoundly transformative postpartum period.
Andrea lives in Austin, Texas with her family and is a mother of three. She works primarily with pre- and postnatal mothers through her yoga therapy practice, Spacious Mothers. In addition to being a Certified Yoga Therapist, Andrea is a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher and a Children’s Yoga Teacher.
She also volunteers with Postpartum Support International as a helpline responder, support group leader, and yoga teacher. Postpartum Support International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing awareness, education, and access to treatment for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
